Our BTEC Esports course is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the professional esports landscape and develop critical technical, analytical, and professional skills relevant to the gaming and esports industry. It will prepare students for diverse career pathways in digital entertainment, gaming, and competitive sports management and bridge the gap between passion for gaming and professional career development.

Course Introduction
The Esports industry is a fast-growing global industry offering a wide range of employment opportunities. It combines sport competition and video games with global tournaments popular all over the world. Take your passion for gaming and turn it into a career.
The qualification is endorsed by the British Esports Association, meaning it is recognised by employers and will support progression into a range of roles within the industry. You will explore areas like Esports skills, strategies and analysis, video production and producing an Esports brand over the two-year course.
The course is a blend of sport, business, media, games and esports, and will help you to develop transferable skills such as teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills, dexterity and strategic thinking.
Students who complete this qualification can progress to a degree in Esports or something broader like Marketing or Digital Production. If you don’t want to go into higher education, you could aim to secure a higher apprenticeship in areas like IT, Games Design or Marketing. You could also consider starting your own business through becoming a professional streamer.
