Safeguarding
Scarborough Sixth Form has a dedicated operational Safeguarding Team here to help. The team's role is to provide support, advice, and guidance to all students on a daily basis regarding safeguarding and student welfare. We are committed to helping those in need by offering support and following safeguarding procedures to ensure you receive appropriate care. If you share concerns, we take them seriously and provide help through trusted staff, ensuring your safety and well-being.
Safeguarding is about protecting children and vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, or neglect, ensuring their health, development, and safety are not impaired, and helping them grow up in safe, supportive environments. This includes protecting against physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, neglect, self-harm, and the risks of radicalisation. While we treat all learners as adults, anyone under 18 is legally considered a child, and vulnerable adults (18+) may also need support.
