Entry Requirements
In GCSE English Language and Maths, a minimum of a grade 3 in one and a grade 2 in the other plus some GCSEs at grades 3 or 4
Subject Intent
This course gives Level 2 students an introduction to the core principles and issues within Health and Social Care provision. Additionally, it will help students to achieve a good level of understanding for progression onto Level 3 courses, whilst supporting the transition into a health and social care work environment.
Course Introduction
This qualification aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of core subject areas in health and social care to support progression to further learning or the workplace.
Course Modules
Students will study and be assessed across the year in several topics relevant to the health and social care industry including:
- Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
- Human growth and development
- Health and wellbeing
Assessment
Learners must pass the unit assessments for the 3 mandatory units that will be marked and assessed internally and externally.
